It Is Time Now

Dear Jimmy:

It is time for my daily nap now so I am going to curl up in the air conditioned bedroom and do exactly that. The weather outside is not too hot today but I am still not going to go out and go for a walk because I am still trying to heal my toes from the fungal infection.

I enjoyed the salmon patty and the cabbage and boiled potatoes you fixed for lunch today and I love the way you did the cornbread into muffins rather than into those little squares you used to use. The chocolate cake with the apple slices and the butterscotch chips was excellent.

There is nothing much going on in the news today except some people who had participated in some kind of demonstration in front of a detention center got arrested and got prison sentences for their trouble. Will people never learn their lessons? I have always avoided those public protests because they are always trouble. Besides I am too damned old for activism these days and besides, I have no axes to grind. I have a nice life and nobody ever bothers me and I don’t bother anybody either and that is fine with me.

Well, going to bed now, have a great rest of your day and call me when Judge Judy comes on the television, alright?

Yours Truly,

John
